Improving modelling and emission inventories for policy assessment using advanced observation-based methodologies

We will enhance the ability to assess the impact of policy implementations initiated or planned at city, national and European levels with respect to air quality, citizens’ health and progress towards the greenhouse gas reduction targets of the Paris Agreement, as well as the impact of the EU Bioeconomy Strategy.

The outputs from specific WP1-2 will be used by modelling teams to improve their tools for a better policy assessment. Coupling urban-scale modelling with regional modelling, improving emission inventories and better modelling secondary organic aerosols, secondary inorganic aerosols and nanoparticles are key outputs of this work package.
